If you're looking for a Christian college, the magazine you're now reading is a great place to start. The Internet also is packed with information to help you in the entire search and application process. Check out the following sites: campuslifecollegeguide.com Of course we're going to recommend our own site! You'll find more good stuff like you're reading in this special issue—articles about the college search, advice from experts and from college students, tips, calendars, glossaries and much more. Plus you'll find links to many Christian colleges, where you can learn even more about individual schools. christiancollegementor.org This site is powered by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), and features more than 100 Christian schools. You can sign up for a free account with this site, which includes information on planning for college, selecting a school and financial aid. The site also includes online applications for different schools. www.edvising.net This is the site of Educational Advising Ministries (EAM), a college and career resource service for Christian families. Here, you'll find information about e-mail and phone counseling, an online college planning seminar, and links where you can purchase helpful resources. whatsthebest-college.com Despite the title of the site, it won't tell you the best Christian college, because there isn't one. Instead, the site states, "You are the only person who can decide which Christian college best suits your needs." A step-by-step college guide helps you narrow your choices. You'll also find real-life stories from students and graduates that are full of good advice and wisdom to help you in your college choice. collegeview.com This is not a Christian site, but it's a very comprehensive website that can help you in your search. The "Test Prep" and "College Search" areas are especially helpful for general information. In the "College Search" area, you can plug in criteria for "religious affiliation," and their database includes more than 200 Christian schools. collegeboard.com This is another helpful secular site, especially the area called "My Organizer," where you can plug in your information and stay on top of upcoming deadlines, get reminders, update your checklist, manage other lists, and more. There's an online demo for "My Organizer" that walks you through the process, showing all the benefits. Copyright © 2003 by the author or Christianity Today International/Campus Life magazine.
